Laurence E. Smith, Executive Vice President and Principal Consultant of AMS, has over 27 years of domestic and international project management consulting experience encompassing Energy, Aerospace and Defense; Pharmaceutical Development, Public Works and General Construction. In his tenure as a principal of his previous firm he participated in the development, sales, training and application of advanced project risk management techniques. Mr. Smith is an international authority on the practice and principals of project risk management. Mr. Smith joined with his colleague L. Alex Staley at AMS in 1999 to participate in the creation and development of a world class consulting organization based on project management, project controls, risk management and claims.
His experience includes the assessment of international construction projects and claims management, expert testimony as well as management consulting. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Eisenhower College of the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Masters of Science degree from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Smith currently resides in Los Angeles, California area with his wife and two children.
